Hi, my name is Noah. I’m excited to start this Media Studies journey and share my progress through this blog. A little about me—I play soccer, which has been a big part of my life for years, and I also produce music and DJ in my free time. Both of these hobbies give me ways to express myself, whether it’s through sports or sound.
So far, Media Studies has been a really interesting class. I’ve been learning how much thought and creativity go into making media products, from planning and research to editing and final presentation. It’s helped me see media in a new way—not just as something we watch or listen to, but as something carefully designed to connect with an audience.
Through the portfolio process, I hope to improve my creative and technical skills. I want to learn how to plan effectively, use different tools for production, and create something that looks professional. I also want to push myself to think more critically about the choices I make when creating media.
Right now, I’m considering creating a music magazine as my product. Since I already produce music and DJ, I think this will let me combine my personal interests with what I’m learning in class. A magazine would give me the chance to explore design, writing, and photography, while also allowing me to share a culture I’m passionate about.
